Fish Tycoon

Fish Tycoon is a fish breeding sim game where you breed and care for exotic fish in a true real-time virtual aquarium. The object of this tycoon game is to discover the 7 MAGIC FISH. You start with a small selection of fish, some money and a tank. You must breed your fish, care for them, help them grow, and cure them if they get sick. You can buy supplies, medicine and special chemicals; you can research technologies or invest in advertisement. All of this will be financed by selling exotic hybrids in your shop. The game runs in TRUE REAL-TIME, so that if your computer is turned off or you exit the game, hours later small fish will have grown larger and new surprises await you.

Game Storyline

Players take on the role of a fish store owner who must breed and care for hundreds of different kinds of exotic fish, all the while attempting to keep the fish store economically viable long enough to achieve the ultimate objective: breeding The Seven Magic Fish of Isola. The story for this game is that on the mysterious island of Isola there was a lagoon where the most magnificent fish swam. These fish were held together by the 7 magic fish but one day all of the fish have disappeared. Thus, you have to cross-breed fish to rediscover the 7 magic fish, solve the genetic puzzle, and "restore the island to its former glory. 

Tips And Trick

» Sick Fish
If you do not have a lot of cash (especially in the beginning), sometimes buying medicine for a sick fish is not the best choice. If can recreate the breed with other fish in the tank, send the sick fish to the trash and make another.
» Tank Limits
Fish tanks can only hold 20 fish. If a pregnant fish has a baby when there are 20 fish in the tank, they will disappear.
» What to Buy
Supplies are difficult to buy starting out. It gets easier once you find a breed that will make you $40+ for each sale. The first supply to work on buying is the Fish Environment. Without many baby fish will die.
» Hybrid Fish
Before you have researched Fish Environment, breed fish that look alike. You won't waste your time breeding fish that will die this way.
» "Fish Tycoon" Breed Combinations
Take notes on what type of fish you get when you breed two fish. By keeping track of combinations it will be easier to find the magic fish. I keep a Word document with a table of the information. To see what two fish created a breed, put a fish in the isolation tank and click on the Species button.
